Boondi Raita


Raita’s are always handy and they go well with pulao, stuffed paratha or plain rice. There are various kind of raita but boondi raita is one of the most favourite among people. It is often served in north indian weddings. Boondi is an indian snack made from chickpea flour. It is fried and is used as a snack or sometimes in sweets also.


 Boondi Raita

 Serves 2


2 cups thick Yogurt

½ tsp roasted cumin seeds

½ tsp chaat masala

½ tsp black salt (kala namak)

½ cup boondi

red chilli powder acc to taste

coriander leaves for garnishing


Whisk yogurt until smooth.

Add all the ingredients to the whisked yogurt and stir well.

Garnish with roasted cumin seeds and red chilli powder.

Serve chilled.

You can have it with any paratha, rice or pulao.

Note- You can add salt also if you don’t have black salt.
