This is one of the variation to cook chickpea curry. I recently found out this recipe while reading some article. So I thought of sharing it with all of you.
Chole Dhaniya Masala (Chickpea cooked in coriander curry)
1 cup chickpea (chole)
1 small bunch of coriander,chopped (you can make a puree also)
½ teaspoon cumin seeds
1 tablespoon coriander seeds,crushed
1 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste
1 tablespoon chole masala
½ teaspoon red chilli powder
1 tablespoon oil
salt to taste
Soak chickpea overnight and boil it with little salt.
Heat oil in a pan and add cumin & coriander seeds. Saute for 1 min.
Add chopped coriander, saute for 1-2 min.
Add onion and salt,cook for 2 mins.
Now add ginger-garlic paste,cook till raw flavour is gone.
Add chole masala, chilli powder,saute for 1 min. Add tomatoes and salt.
Cook till tomatoes become tender. After that add chickpea and cook for few mins.
Serve hot with chapati, naan or rice.
