Paneer Paratha (Flatbread stuffed with cottage cheese)

Paneer is also know as cottage cheese. In india cottage cheese is made at home by curdling milk. Paneer has got a soft texture and can be eaten raw as well. Paneer is used in variety of indian dishes.

Makes 4-5 parathas

Ingredients

For dough

1 cup wheat flour

salt to taste

1/2 cup warm water

little oil for greasing

For stuffing (mix all of them in a bowl except for oil)

2 cup crumbled or grated paneer

1/2 teaspoon coriander powder

1/2 teaspoon chilli powder

salt to taste

some chopped coriander (i used dried coriander for my paratha)

oil for frying

Method

Divide the dough and stuffing into equal portions.

Roll out one portion of the dough into a circle using whole wheat flour for rolling.

Place one portion of the stuffing in the centre of the circle.

Bring together all the sides in the centre and seal tightly.Roll out again into a circle using whole wheat flour.

Cook it on hot pan or tawa. Spread little oil over the flatbread and cook till both sides are golden brown.

Serve hot with yogurt, pickle or butter.
