Bhatura Recipe

Bhatura is a fried chapati made with all purpose flour and yogurt. It can be eaten with any veggies. But its best eaten with chole masala (check my recipe here) Chole Bhature is a hit dish in any party and is liked by children a lot.

Serve 4-5

Makes 8-10 bhatura’s

Ingredients

1/2 cup chapati flour

1/2 cup all purpose flour

1/2 teaspoon sugar

pinch of baking powder & soda

2 tablespoon yogurt

salt to taste

pinch of carom seeds

1 teaspoon oil

some warm water

oil for deep frying

Method

I wanted to make a healthy version so i took 50:50 ratio of both flour.

Mix both the flour along with all the ingredients, make it into a soft dough using warm water.

If doing by hand,knead the dough for 5-6 mins.

Cover dough with little oil and keep it aside for 30 mins- 1 hour under a wet cloth.

Divide the dough into 8 portions and roll them out into a disc with the help of little oil or flour.

Deep fry them in oil.

Serve hot.
