Makhana is also known as fox nuts or lotus seeds. They are the seeds of lotus flower. Makhana can be used both in sweet or savoury dish. This is a quick & healthy snack and can be made with ease. It can also be eaten during fasting times. As this is a fasting recipe it doesn’t contain any red chilli powder.
1 cup makhana/ lotus seeds/ fox nuts
very little oil
sendha namak (rock salt) to taste
fresh black pepper powder to taste
1/2 teaspoon chaat masala
Heat oil in a pan, roast makhana till they are light brown.
Add all the spices and give it a stir.
Your yummy and healthy snack is ready.
