Spooky Peda/ Milk Peda/ Doodh Peda – Quick microwave recipe (Spooky Milk Fudge) – Halloween recipe

Peda is a traditional Indian sweet made with khoya/mava or evaporated milk. This recipe is the quick version of peda. It will only take 2-3 mins in microwave. I tried making them spooky for Halloween but they look cute rather than scary.

I am not that good at drawing figures. My hubby drew the skull and i tried making witch broom, eye ball and the faces. One of the faces look like a pacman ghost according to my hubby 🙂

Peda (Milk Fudge)

3/4 cup milk powder

1/2 can condense milk

1 tablespoon ghee or butter

1 teaspoon green cardamom powder

few saffron strands

1 tablespoon coconut powder

different colour writing icing sugar for decoration

Mix condense milk, ghee and milk powder in a microwave safe bowl.

Microwave on high for 1 min.

Remove and stir again. Add coconut powder, saffron, green cardamom powder.

Again microwave on high for 30 secs and check. If the mixture look thin again microwave for 30 secs.

The mixture should have a thicker consistency.

When the mixture is warm, grease your palm with ghee and shape the mixture into balls.

Decorate them using icing sugar.

Serve when required.

Store them in an air tight container in refrigerator.
