Palak paratha is a quick and easy recipe. You can have this with some yogurt, chutney or raita. It’s a fun way to eat spinach. I love bathua paratha a lot but we dont get it here so i wanted to try something similar and new.
1 cup chapati flour
1 cup spinach chopped
salt to taste
some coriander leaves
1/2 tsp red chilli powder
1 tsp coriander powder
1 tsp cumin seeds
water for kneading
Heat oil in a pan. Add cumin seeds, let them sizzle.
Now add chopped spinach.
Cook for 2 minutes,without changing the colour and add it to the flour along with the other ingredients except water.
Mix the flour well with spinach and then add water to make a non sticky dough,just like roti/chapthi dough.
Make equal sized ball and roll out little thicker parathas,dust it while rolling when ever necessary.
Heat pan and drizzle some oil and cook the parathas both sides in medium flame,until the golden brown spots appears.
Serve hot with raita, yogurt or chutney.
